YorHealth — Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 August 2026

YorHealth is a personal nutrition and training app. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. Your data is never sold and never shared for marketing. The one thing stored about an installation is a notification token, and only if you turn notifications on — described below.

What stays on your device

Your profile, logged meals, water, weight and workouts are stored locally on your iPhone. Apple Health data is read and written on your device only. It is never transmitted anywhere, never used for advertising, and never shared with third parties.

What leaves your device

Notifications

Meal reminders are scheduled on your device. They need no network, no server and no token, and they work with no connection at all.

Announcements from the developer — a new feature, a problem worth knowing about — are the only thing sent from a server, and are the only reason a token is stored.

Voice input

Voice entry is transcribed by Apple's speech recognition. On some devices and languages this happens on the device; on others the audio is processed on Apple's servers. The resulting text is then treated like any typed meal description above.

Permissions

Camera (photographing meals and scanning barcodes), microphone and speech recognition (voice entry), and Apple Health (activity and nutrition). Every one is optional — the app works with them denied, and each Health-dependent screen has a working empty state.

Data retention and deletion

Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. Nutrition estimates are not retained by YorHealth; the meal photo or text is sent for the estimate and not stored on our side.

Not medical advice

Nutrition figures are approximate and generated automatically. YorHealth is not medical or nutritional advice.
